Grace for the Good Girl

An 8-Week Study on Letting Go of the Try-Hard Life

Add to calendar:

Many "good girls" believe that living a Christian life means working hard, maintaining a sweet disposition, and focusing on what we can control—our disciplined lives and unshakable good moods. However, being perceived as strong and responsible can become a burden, especially when we face life's pressures and unmet expectations.

What if we let grace guide us instead? What if we could be known for who we truly are and still be accepted and loved? In "Grace for the Good Girl," we are invited to release our hold on the try-hard life and rest in the love and life of Jesus. This study explores living free from the impossible expectations we place on God, ourselves, and others, and walking in grace with Jesus. Each session offers an opportunity to grow in a relationship with Jesus that brings peace and rest, rather than striving for outcomes based on our own efforts.

What You’ll Gain:
  • Recognize the ways we try to gain God’s acceptance through hard work, performance, and striving to be a "good Christian girl."
  • Discover the depth of God’s love and the beauty and freedom of life in Christ.
  • Engage in an environment of growth, community, discussion, and encouragement.

This group offers a chance to explore life in Jesus without hiding behind the masks of performance and expectations. As a "good girl," life can be challenging and joyless when we don't trust Jesus moment by moment. What does it look like to truly trust Him? Join us for this conversation as we learn together.
