What We Do

True Life Counseling

Grace Ministries offers personal and spiritual support to help individuals overcome emotional, behavioral, marital, and relational challenges. Our one-on-one counseling sessions provide a safe and compassionate environment where you can explore your struggles, rediscover your identity in Christ, and experience lasting transformation. We believe in the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit, who is the true agent of change in every session.

Counseling FAQs

  • Grace Ministries offers counseling on a donation basis, with a suggested donation of $100 per session. However, we are committed to working with anyone who is serious about seeking help, regardless of their financial situation. We will not turn anyone away due to financial reasons. We do encourage you to contribute what you can after each appointment.

  • Typically, the process involves between ten and twenty sessions. Each session usually lasts about an hour to an hour and a half, though this can vary.

  • All Grace Ministries staff counselors are trained through our True Life Advanced Training and Mentoring program. As a ministry, we do not require our coaching staff to be licensed professional counselors.

    Meet the Team

  • Grace Ministries uses an eLearning platform called Pathwright to deliver counseling content. As part of your onboarding, you’ll receive a link to access the platform. The suggested cost for the material is $50, but if that presents a hardship, your coach can provide a discount code. Once you’re enrolled, you can access the content using this link.

Your coach may also recommend one or more books for you to read during the process. These books can be borrowed or purchased, and some may be available through your public library’s online system, such as Hoopla Digital.

  • Grace Ministries counselors meet with clients both online and in person. We have counselors available for in-person sessions in Manassas, Warrenton, Woodbridge, Front Royal and Lynchburg, Virginia.

Secure online counseling is conducted via the CarePatron platform.

  • We approach marriage counseling differently than traditional couples therapy. Rather than focusing primarily on the relationship itself, we focus on the spiritual and personal growth of each individual within the marriage.

For that reason, we typically meet one-on-one with married individuals who are struggling with marriage-related issues, rather than counseling couples together.

We believe the greatest hope for any marriage is not simply better communication skills or changed behavior, but two people who are personally grounded in their identity in Christ and learning to live from the truth of the Gospel. Lasting change in a relationship grows out of personal transformation—out of hearts that are learning to trust Jesus, receive His love and acceptance, and walk in dependence upon Him.

When people begin to understand who they are in Christ, they are often freed from patterns of fear, control, shame, resentment, performance, or unhealthy dependence that can deeply affect a marriage. As individuals grow spiritually and emotionally, healthier relationship dynamics often begin to emerge naturally.

    Our counseling helps individuals:

    • Grow in their relationship with Christ

    • Understand their identity and security in Him

    • Learn healthy relational boundaries

    • Respond to conflict with wisdom and grace

    • Find peace and stability regardless of their spouse’s choices or responses

If you are experiencing difficulties in your marriage, we would be honored to meet with you individually and explore how God may want to bring hope, healing, and growth into your life and relationship. Testimonial
