Grace Ministries offers help for deaf and hard of hearing people who desire to discover how the Gospel not only provides a future in heaven but how it makes a difference today. This help is offered on a limited basis through any one or a combination of individual counseling, small groups, and personal study. The first step is to complete an Inquiry Form to help determine the option that will work best for you.
What is the cost of the Individual Appointments?
Grace Ministries offers counseling on a donation basis. The suggested donation for each session is $90 and we do encourage people to give something after each appointment. We will, however, work with anyone who is serious about seeking help, regardless of their current financial condition and won't turn anyone away for financial reasons. We do encourage that you give some amount with each appointment.
* There is a separate charge for some materials that are assigned for homework, and you may also be asked to take an online assessment at a cost of $30.
How Long Does the Individual Discipleship/Counseling Process Take?
It varies by person but generally, you can count on between ten and twenty visits. Each session will last about an hour to an hour and a half, but this can vary.
Who will be counseling me?
Grace Ministries staff counselors will use the help of two qualified ASL interpreters for personal counseling sessions. You can expect to have a counseling trainee sitting in on each session. Grace Ministries is a 'ministry' and does not require counseling staff to be licensed professional counselors. To learn more about our staff, click here.
Where are the counseling locations?
We have counseling offices in Virginia at Woodbridge, Manassas, and Warrenton.
Does Grace Ministries counsel children or teenagers?
We typically only counsel adults, however we would be willing to discuss your individual need and offer options including referring you to another counselor who specializes in working with younger people. Find out more HERE.
